Hello! I am Pastor Brendon Sanders
I currently serve as the lead pastor at community church. In past years I’ve served in ministry as associate pastor and lead pastor. I grew up in Franklin county and have spent most my life here. I have been married to my beautiful wife Kaylee Sanders for six years and together we have two wonderful daughters! My hope is that we would be a church committed to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ in our community!
Hello! I am Pastor Alexander Neuman
I serve as the associate pastor at Community Church. My family and I moved from Oregon in 2021 to assist in planting Community Church and it has been such a blessing in our lives! Serving the church has always been an integral part of my life since childhood. I have been the pastoral intern for the last 4 years and graduated from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Religion degree. I am married to my beautiful wife Leilani, and we have four amazing children. It is my desire to know God more and to make Him known. This comes from the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 and Paul’s exhortation to the Thessalonians to “abound more and more” in Christ (1 Thess. 4:1).
Community Church Statement of Faith
Nothing sums up what our church believes more than - John 3:16-18
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. ‘He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
We believe in the authority of Scripture
The Bible as transmitted in its original Hebrew, Aramaic, or Greek texts, is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God.
We believe in the Doctrine of God – The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
God is the sovereign creator of heaven and earth. One in essence, three in persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the Doctrine of man
Man was created in the image and likeness of God; but lost the position of innocence. Jesus Christ brings salvation to all who trust in Him.
We believe in marriage
Marriage is ordained of God to be between one man and one woman to last a lifetime.
We believe salvation is a gift from God
Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone, as he died on the cross for our sins.
We believe there are 3 aspects of our salvation
Justification (Past) - The moment a person has saving faith in Christ, God declares the guilty sinner “not guilty” and the person is born again.
Sanctification (Present) - The lifelong process of being set apart for God and becoming more like Christ.
Glorification (Future) - The consummation of our salvation when sin will be absent and we will be in the presence of the Lord for all eternity.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ
The New Testament church is made up of believers in Jesus Christ, called out of the world and bought by the blood of Christ.
We believe in the second coming of Christ
The next great event in the fulfillment of prophecy will be the personal and visible coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We believe in eternal security
When a person experiences regeneration by the Holy Spirit, and is saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, he or she is saved for all eternity.
We believe in eternal state
When a Christian dies, his or her body goes to the grave while spirit and soul go immediately into the presence of the Lord without any interim period.
We believe Christian life is marked by love
God has called every Christian to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit in their life, love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, & temperance.
We believe in Baptism by immersion
Baptism by immersion is a visible, outward declaration of our faith in Jesus Christ and symbolizes our identification with Him in His death, burial, and resurrection.
